Based in Copenhagen and Berlin the Masquerade Studio offers masks, workshops, interactive lectures, theory and research concerning physical theatre and mask performance. We started 1998 after a leather mask workshop with Donato Sartori at the Centro Maschere e stutture gestuali in Italy and now look back on more than 26 years of mask making, workshops, performances and the development of this whole enterprise into a extensive and substantial tool kit for actors, theatre groups and sociocultural projects staging change.
